# 7. Verify and hand over

Confirm every camera and required function, then record the commissioning outcome.

## Before you start

Have the site lead, LiveReach deployment contact, and controls installer when applicable available. Use the agreed commissioning procedure and the [installation worksheet (PDF)](https://3748104918-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fcfh08s1E8Fn9MOdqduSf%2Fuploads%2FERwcsHzx0cLE0p89nrVV%2Finstallation-worksheet.pdf?alt=media). Repeat the camera record for every installed camera.

**Record each result as Pass, Fail, Pending, or N/A.** Use N/A only for a check that does not apply, such as a relay that is not installed. Give every failure or pending item an owner and next action.

## Verify each camera

| Check                 | Passing result                                                                                                                             |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Identity | Physical label, camera address, NVR name, and SafeTunnel name refer to the same view. |
| Mounting | Wall mounted at 10–14 ft above the floor, with 1–2 ft dry clearance above the observed wet line; fixings secure. |
| Aim and lens | Perpendicular to the rail; no fisheye or barrel distortion. |
| Coverage | Whole vehicle side profile is visible. Leading rear and following front are visible together where the assigned zone must monitor the gap. |
| Equipment and light | Coverage remains usable through normal equipment movement and representative bright/dark operating conditions. |
| Stream | Stable video at 1080p or higher and at least 15 fps is verified on the stream used by the system. |
| SafeTunnel connection | LiveReach confirms the intended camera is configured and available in SafeTunnel. |
| ROI | The largest useful unobstructed region is saved, preserving required vehicle and gap coverage. |
| Baseline | Dated view/ROI images and measured installation details are saved. |

If the brightest or darkest operating condition has not been checked, record that test as pending and arrange a follow-up.

## Verify the system

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Confirm all required connections

Confirm stable camera streams on the NVR, communication between the NVR and SafeTunnel, and relay reachability from SafeTunnel when fitted. Reconcile the recorded network plan with the installed cables and addresses.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Review normal operation

From a safe location outside the operating tunnel, review complete vehicle passes across all assigned zones. Check that the useful vehicle gap does not disappear at coverage boundaries. Investigate repeated unexplained alerts with LiveReach using timestamps and saved video or images.

A normal pass confirms visibility and stream behavior; it does not replace the agreed functional test.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Run the agreed functional tests

With LiveReach, run the site-approved SafeTunnel commissioning test and record its expected and observed results. If a relay is fitted, include the witnessed end-to-end test of the configured output and intended controller response. Verify recovery/reset behavior and any other cases required by the approved controls design.

**Do not create a collision or deliberately close the gap between customer vehicles to test the system.** If no approved test procedure is available, obtain it from LiveReach and leave commissioning pending.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Record the outcome and hand over

The site lead and deployment contact review the results and outstanding items. Include the controls installer’s test record when a relay is fitted. Save the completed worksheet, network plan, camera mapping, baselines, and relevant configuration/wiring references in the site’s records.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Choose the correct outcome

| Outcome | When to use it |
| ------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Commissioning complete** | Every applicable camera, network, and agreed functional test has passed; issues affecting coverage or the intended function are resolved; the responsible people have recorded sign-off. |
| **Installation checks complete; commissioning pending** | Physical and network installation checks pass, but configuration, representative-condition checks, or functional tests are unfinished. List each pending item and its owner. |
| **Rework required** | A required check fails. Record the correction, responsible person, and retest before sign-off. |

{% hint style="success" %}
**Handover is complete when the records match the result.** The site lead knows which functions were tested, how to report a problem, who owns maintenance, and whether any commissioning work remains.
{% endhint %}

## Keep the installation in condition

Inspect views regularly for dirty or wet lenses, shifted mounts, new obstructions, and glare. Clean lenses using the camera manufacturer’s method and the site’s safe-access procedure.

Recheck placement, ROI, and the baseline after a camera is moved or equipment changes. Recheck the affected connections after network changes, and repeat applicable functional tests after changes to the system or controls configuration.
